Our Boston Children's Museum Visit!

June 29, 2015

So we are going to be trying over the next month to review awesome places inside and outside for you and your kids to head to this summer!

Our first indoor place is THE BOSTON CHILDREN’S MUSEUM! They allowed us to come play for the day and we LOVED it!! We brought the 3 boys… They are 8, 6 & 3!

My kids loved the ramps that you rolled golf balls through, around and under… The wall with PVC pipes that you move around to make tunnels was my oldest (8) favorite one. They climbed up stairs and let them roll and tried to figure out what was going to happen when they did certain things…

Then of course you have the discovery center where you see turtles, secret touch tables, microscopes and more! The littlest loved how you could lay under the table and have the turtles swim over you!

Who can forget the bubble room! I think this was probably one of their Top Rooms to visit!! Tables and tables of bubbles and hoops and tubes to make huge bubbles!!

We got to visit with Peep and the Big Wide World & Arthur. We learned about lights and shadows with Peep and lots of playing with water! Another favorite thing to play in here in this Macaroni House! The kids loved walking through Arthur’s neighborhood! We got to see his class, home and more…

We got to build and use tools! We got to check out kindergarten… The musical chairs, giant checkerboard and butterfly wall was so much fun! Building a giant tower to knock over! Daddy and the little Mac Kid got to figure out a shape puzzle together while the other 2 played tic tac toe!

Their other favorite room “The Big Dig”. They got to wear safety vest and hard hats! They got to crawl through tunnels and climb through a “construction site”. Driving cars around up and down ramps! They didn’t want to leave!

They also have a theater that has shows running throughout the day! The theater is a great little venue to go sit down and have some fun with the kiddos while watching a show! Upstairs they also have an art studio that does events throughout the day, you just have to sign up and come back at the correct time! There was a poetry workshop going on while we were there!
