Make a Study Area in Your Own Home!

August 24, 2015

Its time to go back to school and this year I have 2 going back! My oldest is going into the 3rd grade while my middle one is going into 2nd! These are big years and have homework involved so this mom decided to make my oldest his own study area in his room so that him and his brother won’t fight while sitting at the kitchen table doing homework.

Depending on what grade and what is required this is what we used to make his desk complete…

Desk

Comfortable chair

Bulletin board

Thumb tacks

Calendar

Chore board

Laptop and mouse

Pencil holder

Pencils, markers, colored pencils, crayons, pencil sharpener & glue sticks

Personal items

Here is what we started with:

We added his calendar along with his paint night painting and chore chart to make sure he is on top of projects and things he needs to do around the house!

On his desk we added his shadow box of awards from Cub Scouts, his laptop (yes BOTH kids have nightly assignments on the computer so this is their computer), his pencil holder that he made last year at Plaster Fun Time along with his supplies that he will need to complete his homework on a nightly basis…

This is now his nice quiet space in his room that he can retreat to when he gets home from school and chill out a little while doing his homework and preparing for the next day of learning!
