A Letter to My Oldest Son

To My Oldest Son,

I was 19 and no idea what I was doing. Would I do it right? How would I show you right from wrong? Would you just automatically love me and vice versa?

Quickly you showed me that I had nothing to worry about. You showed me that at any age, you will do what needs to be done for the love and safety of your child. We left and sought comfort in each other and learned how to support each other in good times and in bad. You are the light of my life and made me thrive to be the best I could be. We had a connection I never knew I could have with anyone, let alone my son.

You are now 22 years old and the most amazing big brother that anyone could ever ask for! We have been through ups and downs but still remain to have a strong connection in life and love. My dear son… you are my heart… my soul… my life…

I love you!

Your Very Proud Mama
