Art Barn is a magical place for children to grow and develop through full immersion in the worlds of Art and Nature. The goal of Art Barn is to inspire children to become creative, confident thinkers and makers in constant pursuit of knowledge and understanding of their world.
The Barn is complete with with a kitchenette, bathroom, moveable art walls, and lots of light that connects to the landscape outside. Art Barn will provide children with all the comforts of a traditional preschool.
The yard and garden are also at the children’s disposal.They will dig, explore, catch bugs, plant gardens, harvest, watch birds, chase bunnies, make fascinating collections, learn how plants are reproduced through root systems and seed pods, snack from the fruit trees, and of course, play.
Our Day
7:30- 8:00 Arrival… Choice activities that will vary from day to day – Drawing, Cutting, Books, Dolls, Magnifying glass with bugs…
8:00 Group activity… Yoga, Dance, Stories, Sharing, Singing, Walk in the garden, Plant seeds,Hunt for spider webs, Pick and arrange flowers…
8:30 Art activity…
9:30 – 10:00 Snack, Relax, Bathroom
10:30 – 11:30 Outside Play… We may garden, Ride bikes, Blow bubbles, Chase butterflies, Draw with sidewalk chalk, dig for worms…
11:45 - 12:15 Lunch
12:15 – 12:30 Stories (Pick -up for morning group)
12:30- 1:30 Nap
1:45- 2:30 Art activity…
2:30- 3:00 Afternoon snack and Story...
3:00– 3;30 Out side play or Art centers, Puzzles, Books, Music…
Tuition and Schedule
Art Barn follows the school year calendar- we are open September thru June
Hours: I am happy to expand hours under special circumstances
Full day 7:30 – 3:30 or Mornings only 7:30 – 12:30
Tuition: Payment due on the first of each month
$60 full day… $46 mornings… $15 drop-in afternoons
