The Kenny Academy of Irish Dance is directed by Irish born Michael and Rose Kenny and Breda O’Brien. The mission of the Kenny Academy is to offer an affordable, supportive environment for all of our dancers. We strive to build self-esteem while having fun, developing lifelong friendships and improving fitness during each class. Our goal is to pass on our love and passion of Irish dance. The Kenny Academy offers Irish Dance classes in Pembroke, Canton, Dorchester and Milton.
The Kenny Academy classes are open to boys and girls ages three and up with any level of experience, from new beginners through the championship level. We welcome dancers whether their interest is in competing, performing, or just enjoying the fun of Irish Dance.
The Kenny Academy offers many performance opportunities throughout the year that are open to all of our dancers, including shows, parades, recitals, and larger performances such as our recent invitation to the State House for the Boston Irish Consulate. Many former Kenny dancers have gone on to star in shows including Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.
For those interested in competition, our competitive dancers have achieved extraordinary success including Regional Champions, Top 5 at the North American Nationals and 30 World Champions.
The Kenny Academy is now accepting all levels of dancers both boys and girls.
