Explore Japan is a FREE 2 and ½ week enrichment/exchange program where students learn about the many facets of Japanese and Asian culture. The program includes workshops on Japanese arts and crafts, calligraphy, Asian popular culture, martial arts, cuisine, and a variety of interesting and fun cultural exercises.

Explore Japan is for girls and boys, ages 8-18. Students learn in small groups (broken down by age) under the guidance of a Japanese cultural teacher and a student aide. The program is held in conjunction with the visit of a group of Japanese students to the area. Each morning, students will learn about Japanese culture while their Japanese counterparts study English. In the afternoon, students embark on field trips and participate in fun activities with a group of visiting students from Japan.
For families who host a visiting Japanese student during the program, Explore Japan is FREE for their child! That is a two+ week program, including admission and supervision on field trips – for free! Each program has a limited number of spaces available, so feel free to sign up now. For those students who are interested in attending the program without hosting a student, there is tuition for each student. Explore Japan is the closest thing to experiencing Asian culture without actually traveling to Asia!
