Happy Family’s Organic Superfoods Cookbook Cooking Party

By Sponsored Article Content April 3, 2017

Today we used the Happy Family’s Organic Superfoods Cookbook for Baby & Toddler to cook up some healthy and tasty snacks.

We had some friends over and we had a blast decorating aprons and chef hats. All the kids enjoyed putting their own creative spin on their hats and aprons and did a great job. Plus who doesn’t like drawing on clothes? When the kids were done they threw on their new attire and started eating all the yummy food!

We started with the recipes we cooked up from the cookbook. They were so easy to make my 8 year old made them all by himself. We made Broccoli Mac & Cheese and Baked Apples with Cheddar Cheese & Pumpkin Seeds. The mac & cheese was as simple as boiling, mixing and baking while the apples were coring, sprinkling and baking! My son was so happy when everyone started complimenting him on his wonderful job cooking! Everyone including the adults ate all the mac & cheese and apples. They were not only delicious but a healthy alternative when for snack time. I was skeptical of the cheese and cinnamon combo but it really did taste great! It made me go back through the cookbook to check out some more recipes I may have misjudged so that I can try them later.

After eating the cooked food, the older kids also tried some Happy Tot products. We got to sample Fiber & Protein Soft-Baked Oat Bars, Multi-Grain Alphabet Snacks, Puffed Ancient Grain Dino Snacks & Love My Veggies Chickpea Straws. Each oat bar contains 4 grams of fiber and 2 grams of protein helps keep your kiddos digestion regular while also being a key building block of little growing bodies and essential with muscle development while the alphabet snacks are made with organic buckwheat flour, flax seeds and Omega 3. The Dino Snacks are baked with ancient grains, real organic cheddar cheese, organic tomatoes and basil and shaped like dinosaurs while the Chickpea Straws contain over 75% veggies per serving. The snacks were filling so the kids were not asking for more to eat constantly throughout the rest of the day.

The little ones at the party also got their own Happy Baby products to sample. The Happy Baby® Yogis are Made with wholesome yogurt and organic fruit and melt in their mouths while adding a boost of probiotics to help support immunity and digestive health. The Happy Baby Teethers are a perfect snack for babies’ gums and made with jasmine rice flour, a touch of organic fruits and vegetables, and contain no artificial flavors. We also tried the Superfood Puffs which are gluten-free and perfect to help learn self-feeding.

Each kid left with some samples, a full tummy, new attire for when they cook at home with mom and dad and one lucky family with a BRAND NEW cookbook to make their own yummy recipes from.

Note - I received Happy Family products for the purpose of this review. The opinions expressed are entirely my own.
