Parents, grandparents and caregivers... DID YOU KNOW?!?! The Boston Public Library branch locations offer FREE after-school homework help? This FREE program runs Monday-Thursday from 3:30-5:30pm (unless noted otherwise), beginning September 16, 2019 - May 22, 2019. It's open to students in grades K-8 and registration is NOT required.
Homework help mentors are trained, high-achieving high school students through Harvard University’s Public School Partnerships Team and the developers of SmartTALK which is a program that uses research-based tools, strategies, and resources to support students during homework time. (👍Keep reading for info about getting your teen to volunteer to be a homework help mentor!).
You're sure to find one near you and since it's a drop-in program, feel free to drop off your K-8 student(s) and come back in a couple of hours. What is super helpful though, is if you are able to hang out, please do! This way, you'll get to see the strategies & techniques your child is learning from their homework help mentors.
