DRIVE THRU COOKIE BOOTH...
Have you ordered your favorite Girl Scout Cookies yet? Lucky for us, our local Girl Scout troops have found a way to deliver the delicious annual tradition! Girl Scout Junior Troop 70040 (The local chapter in Dorchester & South Boston) pulled off a pretty genius alternative to the pre pandemic storefront table. This COMING weekend they will be holding their 2nd, Drive Thru Contactless Cookie Booth in Dorchester. Since they are unable to sell storefront this year, this Girl Scout troop, led by Troop leader Courtney Scott and Kim Burton, organized the creative event.
GREAT NEWS...
Junior troop 70040 will be holding one more Drive Thru Cookie Booth this Saturday at St Margaret’s/PJP II Columbia campus on Saturday March 27, 2021 from 10:30AM-2PM (or until they are sold out). It will be set up with the same safe & socially distant stops for, Ordering Cookies, Payment, and Cookie Pickup.
Customers drove up — or walked up — to one end of the parking lot to place their orders, then went to the next stop to pay, either by Venmo, credit card, or cash (exact amount only), and proceeded to the third stop to get their cookies. After each girl helped take an order, they ran to the third stop to gather the order and bring it to the customer.
Pre-Order pickups are also available.
They will take preorders through Friday evening using credit card or Venmo. Preorders will be bagged and ready for curbside pickup at the booth on Saturday.

Sweet Tooth not for you? That’s ok too! For every $5 donation, they will deliver a box of cookies to a healthcare or essential worker. Please make sure to indicate “Cookie Donation” in the note. Don’t have Venmo? You can also set up a cookie donation via the Smart Cookie link below and pay via credit card. Make sure to Choose “Girl Delivery” for any donated boxes, this way, no shipping or processing fees will be added.
GOOD DEEDS WE NEED...
To make this experience more meaningful, the troops will learn the life lesson of teamwork. Junior troop 70040, Daisy troop 70038 & 70041 and Brownie troop 70039 & 70042 have partnered together by delivering donated cookie boxes to staff at our local hospitals and community care centers. They have already donated to BMC, MGH, Mount Auburn, Tufts, Project Beacon and Upham’s Corner Health Center. On top of that they plan on adding South Boston Community Health Center, Carney Hospital plus multiple local Fire, Police & EMTs. Talk about AMAZING! It’s just a small token of their appreciation for all the essential workers' tireless work this past year! Between these 5 local troops, they have donated over 400 boxes so far. There has been an incredible response from the community and they plan to continue this good deed in the future.
