Lots of things have been cancelled or gone virtual since Covid, including the majority of upcoming Easter events for 2021. A group of local parents from Savin Hill created Your Boston Bunny so that your family can safely enjoy a scheduled socially distant visit from the Easter Bunny this year. The friendly neighborhood Boston Easter Bunny is hopping around Dorchester, South Boston and Quincy to uplift spirits, all while raising money for a good cause. Check out their Facebook Page or Instagram for more information and to see some of the happy faces from this past weekend’s visits.

Want to arrange a special visit for you little ones or grandkids? Maybe send the Bunny to a friend’s or neighbor’s house for a special surprise? They even have socially distanced office visits that can be arranged during the week leading up to Easter.

Bunny Visits are $20 per residential address plus they have a ton of add ons to make the visit more exciting.

Here is the list of scheduled Days By Neighborhoods:

  • Friday, April 2: Quincy Center, North Quincy, West Quincy, Marina Bay
  • Saturday, April 3: South Boston, JFK/UMass, Savin Hill, Columbia Rd, Neponset

The Bunny can also drop off goodies during their visit. (Below is what is available but additional options can be made available, and will be priced out upon request).

  • Basic Basket: Comes with eggs, candy, stickers and bubbles - $15 each
  • Deluxe Basket w/ Stuffed Bunny: Comes with eggs, candy, stickers, bubbles & adorable stuffed bunny - $25
  • Cupcake Treats: Half a dozen delicious cupcakes - $30

*Once booked, they will confirm a time range with you in advance of the visit. Route based on booked addresses. If there is a specific time range you need, please let them know at the time of booking. They will do our best to accommodate! If you do not see your neighborhood listed, but are in the area, please reach out to discuss!*

Details & Guidelines are listed below:

  • This is being organized by parents from Savin Hill.
  • Covid protocols and Massachusetts / CDC guidelines will be strictly followed. Unfortunately with this it means no hugs or high fives at this time. Masks will be required for all participants over the recommended age, except for during pictures.
  • The Bunny will not enter any residences. Porch, yard and garage visits only. In the event of bad weather, porches and umbrellas will be utilized. If we absolutely need to cancel due to weather, we will work with you to find another time, or issue refunds.
  • Visits will be approximately 5-10 minutes, and photos, videos and egg hunts are welcome! The Bunny will happily be a part of  Easter activities you may have planned outside during your visit window.

This awesome venture to spread Easter cheer and raise funds for the work of Mass. PPD Fund to support struggling new parents during the pandemic. The Mass PPD Fund is a new nonprofit working to address postpartum depression and other Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) in Massachusetts. Although PMADs are the #1 complication of pregnancy, impacting at least 20% of new moms, services in Massachusetts are often hard to come by, particularly in marginalized communities. Their Executive Director, Jessie Colbert, and her team work to improve communities’ capacity to address these issues through training, raising awareness, adding online support groups, and more! Your Easter Bunny visit helps them provide information and services on this critical family issue! Please follow Mass. PPD Fund to learn more!

They also have their 3rd annual Flourishing event (virtually again this year) on May 8, 2021 that is a mix of wellness, celebration and education. Tickets are going on sale this week via eventbrite. See their flyer below for more information on how to help support the Mass PPD Fund.
