In the beginning of August I was fortunate enough to be invited to a hosted trip to Meliá Caribe Beach Resort in the Dominican Republic with 30+ other Macaroni KID publishers from around the US. Having this opportunity to experience an all-inclusive resort was a blessing and came at the perfect time. Even though it was the first time I have ever traveled out of the country without family or friends as support, I pushed any fears aside because I knew this would be a trip of a lifetime that I would never forget.
THE RESORT:
Meliá Caribe Beach Resort is a family-friendly, all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. This place is not just any old hotel, it’s an entire piece of heaven waiting for you and your family. The resort is located on the beautiful white sand beach and is just 20 minutes from Punta Cana’s International Airport.

First off, this resort has it all. Offering both adult-only and family-friendly areas so you have options when it comes to what’s best for you and your time there. From the minute you arrive, the staff welcomes you as part of the Meliá family, making sure you have some refreshments and handling your luggage to make check-in a breeze. As a special surprise, we had a delicious watermelon welcome drink waiting on our arrival.

Top off your getaway with the “The Level” VIP service and you have a dream vacation ahead of you. “The Level” guests are treated to a special VIP experience with access to their own restaurants, bars, pools, beach, and shops. Also included in this exclusive upgrade is a driver that will pick up guests around the resort at their convenience. All you needed to do was send a text to your butler and they would show up within minutes. This was a godsend and added that extra bit of “VIP” to the trip (I secretly felt like a celebrity, shhhh).
THE DETAILS:
Meliá Caribe Beach Resort has everything your family needs to have a stress free vacation. From the staff, to the restaurants, plus all the amenities and entertainment, you will not be disappointed during your stay. Everything and everyone works together to make your time unforgettable.
The rooms are modern and spacious and beds are extremely comfortable. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their space, all while being with the family too. The views are breathtaking and you really feel like you are in a tropical paradise, no matter where you are in the resort. Plus it is clean, handicap accessible, and welcoming for all ages.

There are many different restaurants to choose from depending on your taste and preference. You can have dinner at any one of the restaurants or order room service to enjoy on your own.

The multiple pools at the resort are the perfect temperature to cool off and take a dip. They are all varied in depth too, so if you wanted to swim or sit and relax in the shallow area, you could do either. There is even a water park for the kids to exhaust themselves in with sprinklers and water slides that won’t disappoint.

Is the beach more your style? Soak up the sun on a beach chair or grab a cabana. Either way you can enjoy the sun and sand just steps away from the ocean.

Looking for more entertainment, activities, and excursions? YES, they have those too! Everything from water aerobics, pool parties, silent discos, and yoga, just to name a few. Catch one of their nightly shows like Dominican night and learn about the culture while watching some incredible dancing. Head out with Bebe Catamaran for a day on the ocean filled with music, friends, snorkeling, and views that will take your breath away. Finding something to do is never an issue.

What we all experienced was just downright paradise. I can’t wait to go back with my family and enjoy everything Meliá Caribe Beach Resort has to offer. The last year has been anything but ordinary and as a mom, sometimes life seems to be a revolving door of constant chaos you try to control the best you can. As the pandemic reset the new normal of the world around us, I knew I needed to recharge my mom-ergy and remind myself of the many amazing things in life. Thankfully, this trip to Meliá Caribe Beach Resort was exactly what I needed to reset, refresh, and recharge.
